After living in London and Manchester, hanging out with the members of Joy Division, Italian-born Luca Prodan accepted an invitation to visit a farm in the Traslasierra zone of Córdoba province to kick his heroin habit and relax (he was devastated by the death of Ian Curtis). Arriving in 1981, he started composing and recording songs in a homemade studio. After some time, tired of the quiet life in the countryside, he took off to Buenos Aires (specifically to Hurlingham), looking forward to join its underground music scene.

Sussie 4 was formed in the summer of 1998 in Guadalajara, Mexico by music producer César Gudiño (keyboards, synths, program systems) and multi-instrumentalist Odín Parada (guitar, percussions, voice). When they met, they began experimenting in the "mestizaje" (a Spanish word used to refer to a mix between Indigenous and European cultures) of an organic/electronic fusion of music. With strong influences in French House, which later came to define their more characteristic aesthetic silhouette, their sound very elegantly mixes Latin rhythms with jazz and pop in avant-garde ways, complemented with known, and yet to become known, voices.

System of a Down (commonly referred to as System or abbreviated as SOAD) is an Armenian-American rock band, formed in 1994[2] in Glendale, California. Consisting of Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards, and rhythm guitar), Daron Malakian (vocals and lead guitar), Shavo Odadjian (bass), and John Dolmayan (drums), the band has released five albums since 1998. A staple on mainstream rock radio, their works have earned them three Grammy Award nominations, of which they won one.
System of a Down is very politically active and are noted for the liberal political views expressed in their songs, tackling several subjects including the Armenian Genocide, War on Drugs, religion, and censorship. The band is a part of the Axis of Justice, a non-profit organization co-founded by Tankian and fellow musician Tom Morello, dedicated to bringing together musicians, music fans, and grassroots political organizations to fight for social justice.
In 2006, the group went on an "indefinite hiatus", and all four members are currently working on various side projects.
