When they met at a dance club and got to talking, they realized that they could do something Mars had never seen before, and they quickly formed the duo, Mechanical Cats. Mechanical Cats sky-rocketed to the top of the charts in every Sector on Mars, and have remained the top-selling, and most renowned, electronica group on the planet. They have just come to Earth to share their debut English album, "Chemical Obsession," and are already working on their second album.

Metallica is an American heavy metal band that formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. Founded when drummer Lars Ulrich posted an advertisement in a Los Angeles newspaper, Metallica΄s original line-up consisted of Ulrich, rhythm guitarist and vocalist James Hetfield, lead guitarist Dave Mustaine, and bassist Ron McGovney. These last two were later ejected from the band, in favor of Kirk Hammett and Cliff Burton, respectively. The ejection of Mustaine resulted in a feud between him and Metallica. In September 1986, Metallica΄s tour bus skidded out of control and flipped, which resulted in Burton being crushed under the bus and killed. Jason Newsted replaced him less than two months later. Newsted left the band in 2001 and was replaced by Robert Trujillo in 2003.

Metrofique is the collaboration of two songwriters from two of San Diego΄s most original and creative bands. Steven Bradford, bassist, vocalist, and frontman of the rising band Get Back Loretta, and Gabe Lehner, guitarist and vocalist of the eclectic, indie group Jack The Original, decided to team up in 2007 for a side project. Calling themselves Metrofique, the two wanted to write and record songs together that were more mellow, simple, and acoustic-based than what either did in their respective bands. Their songwriting styles instantly clicked, and they have been quickly putting together what is going to be their first album, titled "D Minor Sessions," all recorded at Gabe΄s home studio in Encinitas, CA. Look for the album to be finished sometime in summer, 2008, and look for great things to come from them in the future.
